SDK guides

Integrate GetPassive in your app

GetPassive helps approved developers add a consent-first bandwidth monetization SDK to apps that already have real users. These guides explain how the model fits different app types, what reviewers look for, and how to plan a clean rollout.

SDK integration guides by app type

Choose the guide closest to your product. Each page covers fit, consent placement, rollout notes, and common mistakes for that category.

How it works in 3 steps

  1. Apply and describe your app, audience, platforms, and consent plan.
  2. Integrate the SDK, test device registration, and confirm that users see plain-language opt-in disclosure.
  3. After approval, qualifying active device hours accrue in your dashboard and settle monthly.

What types of apps qualify

The strongest candidates are user-facing apps with legitimate installs, predictable uptime, and a reason to run quietly in the background: TV apps, launchers, media tools, desktop utilities, file tools, mod managers, and Electron apps. Apps must be owned by the applicant and must not rely on hidden installs, forced consent, or misleading distribution.

Payout model

GetPassive publishes a clear payout rate range. Approved developers earn between $0.005 and $0.07 per active user per month from qualifying active device hours, depending on country tier, uptime, and live demand. Higher-demand countries earn more. Monthly payouts via Stripe Connect after checks and finalization. Earnings depend on region mix, uptime, opt-in rate, device quality, and demand at the time activity occurs.

Requirements

You need a real app, a clear distribution channel, permission to modify the app, and a consent flow that users can understand before participation begins. Your integration should expose a way to stop participation and should log the app version and consent state for support and auditability.

Performance also matters. The SDK should be initialized carefully, avoid competing with foreground work, respect battery and network conditions, and be rolled out gradually. Developers are expected to monitor crash rate, opt-in rate, support tickets, and earnings before expanding to their full audience.

FAQ

Do users have to opt in?

Yes. GetPassive is built around explicit consent. Participation must be clear, default-off where required, and revocable from the app experience.

How are developers paid?

Approved developers earn between $0.005 and $0.07 per active user per month from qualifying active device hours, depending on country tier, uptime, and live demand. Higher-demand countries earn more. Payouts are monthly through Stripe Connect after earnings are finalized.

Which apps qualify?

Apps with real users, clear ownership, compliant consent language, stable device uptime, and a good reason to run background networking are the best fit.

Does the SDK add ads or popups?

No. GetPassive is not an ad layer and does not require banners, interstitials, or popups inside your app.

Can I test before launch?

Yes. New integrations can be reviewed in test mode before production approval and wider rollout.
